EC to perform at benefit concert

(Santa Monica, California) -- 
           Deana (DEE'-nuh) Carter, BR5-49, Anita Cochran, Don Henley,
and James Taylor are set to perform at a City of Hope fund-raiser early
next month outside Los Angeles. 
           The event benefits the City of Hope medical center and
research institute. 
           Other acts on the roster include Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks,
Elvis Costello, John Mellencamp and Shawn Colvin.
           The evening's musical theme is "One Night Of Wonders," and
the artists will perform their favorite one-hit wonders from the history
of the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart.
           An event spokesman says they've decided to keep the evening
special and unusual by refusing to tape the event for a television special, 
so the only way to see it is in person on November 4.
