"Uh, so that's six shows . . ." The King is in the counting house!

THERE'S NO STOPPING DATES WITH ELVIS ELVIS COSTELLO, who is in the middle of a week of sell-out shows at London's Royalty Theatre, is planning more shows in 1987 with his second group The Confederates. His six concerts at the Royal Albert Hall were announced two months ago and The Attractions will play the first three dates (January 22, 23 and 24) before The Confederates take over (26, 27 and 28). Then it's on to Manchester Apollo (January 30), Newcastle City Hall (31), Cardiff St David's Hall (February 3) Bristol Colston Hall (4), Brighton Dome (5) and Dublin Stadium (7). The Confederates are James Burton (guitar), Jerry Scheff (bass), Jim Keltner (bass) and Benmont Tenth (keyboards), most of whom played on the `King Of America' album. Albert Hall tickets are already on sale and other box offices open on Friday.
