Elvis Costello spent yesterday afternoon walking around Dublin in the rain with his wife before his performance to a packed audience at the National Stadium last night. Costello was with his wife Cait O'Riordan, former member of The Pogues. The couple were married on the Self Aid day last May.

"We just wanted to ger away on out own," said Costello as he left Blooms Hotel. Meanwhile the rest of his crew waited at the hotel, disappointed that it was 'holy hour' and they were therefore unable to get a "real pint of Guinness."
