"Offtracks-Obscure Releases and Bonus Tracks Put New Spin On Retro 
Albums."

"One has only to read Elvis Costello's extensive liner notes to the 
re-release of his 1986 album to get a sense of how much its recording 
meant to him.  The music reflects this rich period of Costello's 
career--even the five added tracks measure up to Costello's best 
material.  Although his tales of lost love are sometimes cliches, 
Costello infuses "Suffering Face," "Shoes Without Heels" and "King of 
Confidence" with so much clever wordplay, he more than makes up for the 
well-worn subject matter.  The first 15,000 copies of "King of America" 
feature a bonus six-song CD of mostly cover songs recorded live on 
Broadway."


The article is accompanied by a nice black and white picture of Elvis, 
Bruce and Pete that appears to have been taken several years before 
KOA.  One wonders why two of the Attractions are depicted, given their 
absence from the reviewed album (other than the song Suit of Lights).
