Review of concert from 2002-03-27: Solo Dutch; TV RTL4; Barend en Van Dorp show

Costello appeared solo with his electric guitar hooked up to his whizzkiddevice on the dutch TV show BAREND EN VAN DORP. He started off with one minute short instrumental said to be written especially for this TV show (it does sound like the songs on the new album, but is not included on it) and at the end of the show he performed a great live version of When I Was Cruel. The director of the show (and former TOPPOP director) had Costello filmed as he used to film acts in his Seventies show. Nice timewarp!
