All in all an enjoyable show but less "rocking" than other shows have been reported to be. The show was filled with slower songs. They played "New Lace Sleeves" but no "Man out of Time" or "Mystery Dance" or "Temptation" or "Veronica" or(I'm almost done) "20% Amnesia"(boo!) or "Peace, Love...". They played about 1:50 or so. The sounds was clear but not loud enough. The band was a bit sloppy at times(at least I noticed several foul-ups). I think that Elvis thought that his more "intimate" songs would work in this small venue(3,200) but the lack of good pacing had the effect of losing a good portion of the crowd(which chatted up a storm at times). Still, a good show for the Elvis faithful that are familiar with all of his albums. From everything I read here, however, I was expecting a much harder rocking show. A few songs were done in almost a "medley" fashion(abbreviated versions). I sure would enjoy reading any other Austinite's thoughts on the show. On another note, I was conversing with my brother about an Elvis show we saw in Houston's Cullen Auditorium in ~`78. He swears that Devo opened but I just don't remember it. Can someone verify this? vince
