EC entered the stage waving a shirt of the Irish soccer team,
which had qualified for the World Cup's final round the same
evening, just an hour before. It was very funny, since he did
not explain the shirt at all but immediately started to play.
I assume most of the people did not understand the green shirt
until he talked about the match a couple of songs later.

I've seen EC for the first time and was a bit surprised about
his physical appearance. I won't try to describe my feelings
in a foreign language, because it's hard enough to find the
appropriate words in German. In a nutshell, I expected him
to be taller. But I think this has been discussed in this list
before. And Steve was dressed very funny and inappropriate, like
usually, I assume.

Considering the fact that there are just two EC concerts in Germany,
the E-Werk in Cologne is a small hall. And there were still some
cards available right before the concert. So the number of EC
fans must be very small here in Germany. Sometimes I don't
understand those Germans at all, although I'm one of them ...

IMHO the concert was very good. Standing in the front row I could
see him very well. He seems so involved and concentrated, especially
when he's doing his guitar "solos". I like it.
I did *not* like the speed of the concert. Playing 4,5 songs one
after the other without a break is very impressive on one hand,
but on the other hand there's too few time left to really appreciate
each song and to *show* this appreciation, as well. This is, there
was not enough time for applause, for shouting, for whistling, ... .
He managed to do the list above within about 130 minutes.
Did he do his US concerts the same way?

-- Achim.

PS: Where could I get all those US set lists from? I was so stupid
    to destroy them.
