A real kickin' show, even though my former supervisor (and
still co-worker) had, through dumb coincidence, seats two rows in
front of me. It was uncanny seeing her and EC in my field of vision
at the same time. I don't remember who, but someone posted that when
he saw EC, he sang "Still Too Soon To Know" off-key for the whole song.
I'm glad to report that this didn't happen at Blossom . . . it was one
of the highlights of the show for me.

EC took the stage at 9:10 and the house lights came up at 11:05.

I thought the CTD bit the bag. They played their instruments
okay, but I don't care for the lead singer's voice, and I found their
material mostly boring. And the singer once again said that the
original lyrics to "The M-m-m Song," or whatever it's called, were
"Fuckin' shitty." I'm no prude, far from it, but I thought that was
a very class-free thing to do. Some of the audience cheered when he
said this; I think my friend's brother put it best when he went into a
Beavis imitation and said "Hey, he said "fuck" . . . heh heh heh!"
The last time I saw EC, the Replacements opened--a much better choice.
Too bad they weren't available this time out. :)
