All the Rage
Pump It Up

An interesting observation: Elvis used the same "If we ever see you again"
good night monologue as in LA. I was pondering this as they went into "All
the Rage" and an interesting interpretation of the song hit me. It suddenly
seemed to be directed at fans who've been hanging onto the "Angry Young Man"
persona-"I'll never be unhappy as you want me to be." The entire song seemed
to point to this being his last Rock'n'Roll tour. "Can't you act your age?",
"I'll prob'ly play along left to my own devices", "Don't try to read my mind
(i.e. interpreting his songs)", "I've heard it all before. You'll say it
anyway (i.e. Elvis you're my hero)". It was a sobering revelation to me, but
the more I thought about it, the more sense it made....then I remembered what
it said on the back of my T-shirt: "More Than You Deserve"

Can't Wait for the GSA show to compare notes. The Crash Test Dummies, BTW
were brilliant IMHO.

Cheers,
Dillon
