Pump It Up When Elvis came on he announced that he'd not been too well but I didn't notice any deficiency in his performance. After a completely unexpected beginning - with a song he wrote for June Tabor followed by New Amsterdam (on which he fluffed a line) - he started You Tripped... and the Attractions were suddenly there! I was so engrossed in watching Elvis that I never even noticed them come on stage. The venue is fantastic. We were right down the front, just feet from Elvis, and the atmosphere was really great, friendly people having a good time. Elvis really seemed to be enjoying himself. Highlights: a storming I Want You - has he thrown in the lines from I Say A Little Prayer anywhere else? Mystery Dance - !!! Good Year For The Roses, the song I said I wanted to hear more than any other as we were going in The best EC show I ever saw! p.s.
