From: "David R. Warren" Great, great show tonight! The band was as tight as it could possible be; Nieve was terrific and on for every song. My personal highlights: Beyond Belief. Great new arrangment. I DESPERATELY NEED A TAPE IF ANYONE HAS MADE ONE! Radio Radio. Lipstick Vogue. (Yes, PT can play the drums). No Action. The Beat. New arrangement of Everyday IWTB. I love BY, but most of the new songs paled in comparison to the older ones. Pony St. (which I love) was flat. Clown Strike was much worse than the album. You Tripped At Every Step was great, thanks to Nieve. I hope he plays the 'other' set at Jones Beach, so we get a chance to hear Hand in Hand, Veronica, Uncomplicated, 20%, Science Fiction, Just about Glad, Shabby Doll (like he played at Saratoga springs). The NYC set was like the Montreal one: No Action started (but no High Fidelity or Oliver's Army or Brilliant Fistake or So Like Candy :( ). Well, sort of like Montreal. more later... dw
