"Did you read the L.A. Times?" crowd boos, E.C. makes big thumbs down gesture "this is London's Brilliant Parade. I've asked the band not to play too well..." LONDON'S BRILLIANT PARADE (much better balance than Wed.) E.C. "Here's one of those songs in which I expose the real me" (ref. to L.A. Times review) DEEP DARK TRUTHFUL MIRROR* E.C. "Here's another new song, and it's overloaded with emotion" (L.A. Times ref.) "(laughs) ...if you want me to be 14 and angry that my mother doesn't love me, you're too late!" Big laugh from crowd. Crowd reacts positively "...I have it on the highest authority that I play this [guitar] rather well..." 20% AMNESIA CLOWN STRIKE* E.C. "There's a new disease goin' around - it's called masculinity" KINDER MURDER * SHABBY DOLL* (Wed. he played Hand in Hand here) E.C. "Here's a song about a little walk I took in New Zealand" ROCKING HORSE ROAD (Ad Lib 'Bye bye bye bye' ending) E.C. switches back to Acoustic STILL TOO SOON TO KNOW E.C. "Here's an old one the way it was originally written before we went all groovy" EVERY DAY I WRITE THE BOOK (Audience stands up) E.C. switches back to Electric WATCHIN' THE DECTECTIVES* ( Pete Thomas breaks a drumstick near the end. Show ends at 11:20 All in all a more energetic show than Wed.- band tighter, Elvis looser, mix better. However, I thought the opening six songs were tighter on Wednesday.... both great shows!!!!!!!
