Some observations:

I'm not sure which is the bigger surprise -- that he performed "Everyday I
Write The Book," or that he dropped "Veronica" in order to do so. I guess he
won't do both of his two biggest hits (in the U.S.) in the same show. By the
way, right before he did "Everyday I Write The Book," he sang the first line
of The Beatles' "Do You Want To Know A Secret?" No, I have no idea why.

Not surprisingly, most of the audience seemed mystified by "Puppet Girl." It
seems odd that Elvis would do the ONLY very unusual song in the set as an
encore.

The line "You're spellbound baby/There's no doubting that" in "Deep Dark
Truthful Mirror" was sung instead as "You're spellbound baby/That's where
it's at." Has he done that in the previous shows?

At first I had been thinking that the set was unusually geared toward the
early Elvis albums, but then it occurred to me that the set is actually
built around just two of his albums: _This Year's Model_ (seven songs,
including "Radio, Radio") and _Brutal Youth_ (twelve songs). There may
actually be some logic to this overview, since these two albums are the
first and last to feature The Attractions.

Most of the remaining songs in tonight's show are the fairly obvious "hits"
("Beyond Belief," "Everyday I Write The Book," "Watching The Detectives,"
"Alison," "Man Out Of Time," and "Peace, Love And Understanding"). The
remaining five songs are the only oddities: "High Fidelity," "Deep Dark
Truthful Mirror," "Mystery Dance," "Party Girl," and "Puppet Girl."

Any thoughts?
