This German release contains correct Cashbox Version of "Complicated
Shadows". Here are a few tips to help distinguish this release from the UK
version:
The packaging of both versions is VERY similar. The only difference
on the sleeve are the characters LC 0392 WE C795
which are printed in small black letters on the back, under the listing of
the track "Complicated Shadows", and to the right of 'Licensed by GEMA'.
Other than this the sleeves are identical. Don't be mislead by the 'Made in
Germany' text at the very bottom of the sleeve on the back - both versions
say this.
If you are able to examine the CD itself then there are a couple of
differences here. Most noticable is that the yellow & blue picture on the CD
goes right up to the centre hole on the UK version, while on the German copy
the centre piece of plastic (about 1 1/2" in diameter) is clear. This is
slightly confusing because the other 3 UK maxis in the set have this clear
centre piece as well. The UK CD is pressed by
DISCTRONICS, and has this printed around the
inner ring on the silver side of the disc. The German version has
WME & IPPI instead.
