Elvis Costello and the Beastie Boys

Rappers the Beastie Boys backed rock singer/songwriter Elvis Costello for a version of his punk-era classic "Radio Radio" Sunday (Sept. 26) during the "Saturday Night Live" 25th anniversary show on NBC. The pairing paid tribute to a famous performance by Costello and his band the Attractions on the comedy show in the '70s. In that show, Costello stopped playing his scheduled song, "Less Than Zero," after a few seconds and instead launched into "Radio Radio." In an homage to the incident, the Beastie Boys on Sunday started to play their hit "Sabotage," only to be immediately interrupted by Costello's arrival onstage. The show also included performances by the reunited Eurythmics and soul singer Al Green.
