- Larry R: - I stage managed the opening act for him in 78...It was the Mink DeVille/ Rockpile/ Costello tour....one of the highlights of my youth. and we did Cain's Ballroom back then. Our webmaster has a Cain's Ballroom beltbuckle that I sent him from that show... The English side of the tour did not get along with the Texas roadcrew so one heated night in Phoenix, deragatory slang words (rhymes with slimey)were written on the Dressing room wall...The Costello tour bus reciprocated by emptying the bus holding tanks in the loading dock...Not fun taking a full show out with that smell.
