King Of America

The Costello Show

RPM

Last album, featuring Elvis Costello, produced by T Bone Burnett and Declan Patrick Aloysius MacManus (aka Costello). Always known for his rather poignant musical statements, this album offers no exceptions. Costello sings of broken dreams, chemicals and screams; of bedlam, bedrooms and promises; and of Prince Williams, the Pope and good intentions. All 15 tracks are key, but old Animals' hit, "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood," taken as the first single, is outstanding.
