Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe fans, check this out: On October 1, the first night of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass' 10th anniversary festival, Costello and Lowe are playing a special benefit concert at Great American Music Hall in which they'll perform -- and, the promoters say, "bash" -- each others' songs. Lowe, of course, produced Costello's first five albums, and wrote "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding," one of Costello's signature songs.
The concert is a one-night-only benefit for the Richard de Lone Special Housing Project, a nonprofit that houses sufferers of Prader-Willi Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder. Tickets are $125 for general admission and $200 for dinner, and go on sale this Sunday. Obviously, the show sounds pretty amazing -- and it's for a good cause.
