Elvis Costello
Select
"Who the vox he looking at," wonders Elvis Costello from the sanctuary of his Amsterdam hotel room. The man on the business end of the camera is the celebrated Dutch rock photographer Anton Corbijn, who's got a whole bunch of classy snaps like this in his book Famouz. The word "famouz" is Dutch, incidentally, for "popular" or "well-known." This pic was taken in 1977, when Costello was a mere sprog on the New Wave scene. Later, of course, he became one of the most talked-about Elvises of his generation.
