Elvis filled in for Shane MacGowan at a Pogues concert on November 6, 1985, Malmö, Sweden.
Elvis and Shane both appeared in the 1987 film Straight To Hell directed by Alex Cox.
Elvis may have been the catalyst for the writing of "Fairytale Of New York" - the Pogues and Kirsty MacColl's popular Christmas song.
