Elvis and the incredible expanding debut album

There have been at least two souped-up reissues of Costello's debut album, but this latest attempt is more like a pocket encyclopedia based on a theme of My Aim Is True. As well as the album itself — with the not-originally-included "Watching The Detectives" — you get four outtakes (including "There's No Action" and "Radio Sweetheart"), and Elvis' not-terribly-gripping solo demos recorded at Pathway Studios. The best bit is the extra disc of Elvis and the Attractions (who didn't play on the album) live at London's Nashville Rooms in August 1977, although the postscript of a batch of songs from the soundcheck takes us into nerdish overkill.
