Amadee Castenell is a tenor saxophonist and flautist, and a member of Allen Toussaint's horn section featured on The River In Reverse.

He has recorded with Dr. John, Robbie Robertson, Lee Dorsey, and Neville Bros, and many others, and toured with Paul McCartney, Bonnie Raitt, Boz Scaggs, Don Henley, Branford Marsalis, Wynton Marsalis, Billy Joel, Robert Palmer, Earl King, Charles Brown, Gladys Night and the Pips, Clarence Clemens, Ruth Brown, Rita Coolidge, Dolly Parton, Huey Lewis, Steve Cropper, Clarence Carter, Paul Schaffer, Johnny Rivers, Linda Ronstadt, Aaron Neville, and others.
