Rock and Roll Hall of Famer brings solo tour to Playhouse Square in mid-June

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Elvis Costello added 10 dates to his "Elvis Costello – Solo" tour, and one of them is at Playhouse Square's Palace Theatre.

The witty and prolific singer-songwriter, who has crossed the boundaries from opera to punk to symphonic to even ballet, will visit Cleveland on Monday, June 16.

Tickets to the show, $10 to $75, plus fees, go on sale at 11 a.m. Friday at the PlayhouseSquare box office, online at playhousesquare.org.

Costello and his band, the Attractions, were inducted into the Rock Hall in 2003. He has collaborated with everyone from Sir Paul McCartney to Burt Bacharach to T Bone Burnett and Allen Toussaint.

Of late he's been involved in a songwriting partnership with wife Diana Krall. He wrote six songs on her album, The Girl In The Other Room.

He's been nominated for Grammys more than a dozen times, starting with a best new artist nod in 1979, which actually went to A Taste of Honey. He shared a best pop collaboration with vocals with Burt Bacharach in 1999 for "I Still Have That Other Girl."
