Reviews Windy Militant Elvis Costello and the Attractions. Frenchman's Motel Fishguard about 1979, about the time Oliver's Army hit the charts. Storming gig. About 1500 punters in a place with a fire limit of 750. You couldn't fall down if you tried. Wasn't too bothered with the band at the time, but they blew me away that night. Elvis came on wearing a light grey mohair suit, by the end of the gig only the lapels were still light grey the rest was soaked in sweat. I've never seen anybody work that hard on stage since.
