First concert in Australia since the Sydney Festival in 2006, first tour since 2004 with the Imposters, and first solo show in Australia since 1985. Elvis was in fine spirits, with plenty of chatting and joking. His voice was a bit ragged, especially at first, but improved through the night. Performed entirely on a range of acoustic guitars, except for Watching the Detectives which was on on a big-bodied electic. Detectives involved fancy electronic tricks so that Elvis layered multiple guitars to create a wild sinister effect. God's Comic did not include a story in the middle, as in some previous tours, but instead shifted to a performance of Mr. Feathers, before returning to God's Comic for the ending. Elvis performed the middle three songs of the encore sitting down. He said he was going to perform Almost Blue but switched to All Or Nothing At All on the basis that his wife performs Almost Blue, so he should be able to perform one of her songs. Very appreciative audience who enjoyed the fine spring evening at this outdoor venue.
