Costello queue
The Daily Pennsylvanian
At 9:30 a.m. Monday the first two set up a tarp and began the line outside Irvine. By 2 a.m. the next morning there were more than 50 braving the continual rain and wind. By that time most had taken shelter under the nearby Chemistry Laboratories, leaving only the original group huddled on Irvine's front step, safe from the storm. At 8 a.m. yesterday over 120 put up their umbrellas and took their place in the line that would not begin moving for another two hours. But Elvis Costello is singing again, and that was all that mattered.
