El público jugó al ding dong en Who's Gonna Help Brother, Costello se desgañitó en Nearer to You y desempolvó Clownstrike o Freedom For The Stallion. Nueva referencia a Liverpool en International Echo y otra gema de la noche: The River in Reverse, título de su CD.

Particular trance costelliano con Watching The Detectives y la explosiva Pump It Up, antes de un leve descanso. Ritmo y blues, otro lamento elvisiano (Alison) o un canto a la bondad humana: Yes We Can Can. Tras el segundo descanso, nuevas lágrimas en Get Out My Life Woman o en la agridulce despedida The Sharpest Thorn.

Intérpretes: Elvis Costello (voz, guitarras), Allen Toussaint (voz, piano); + The Imposters: Steve Nieve (teclados), Herman Le Beaux (batería), Paul Bryan (bajo), Anthony Brown (guitarra); + The Crescent City Horns: Amadee Castenell (saxofón), Bryan Cayolle (saxofón), Joe Smith (trompeta, flauta), Sam Williams (trombón). Fecha: 29-Julio-2007. Lugar: Plaza de la Trinidad. Asistencia: unas 3.000 personas

Tears of joy

Costello was infected sullen Donostia good vibes and appeared in the Trini clear in form and substance : not his usual hat, happy and striving in the usual "eskerrik asko" and "gabon". Confessed to being happy to return home yesterday. He must take his two little twins missing incurred with Diana Krall and was the musician most swiftly left the square around the Jazzaldia, after playing the last note. Allen Toussaint, similarly dressed, sat discreetly at the piano. The afternoon wore between 3014 and summer assistants (official count) a mottled festive air is breathed.

When Declan Patrick Aloysius London MacManus (aka Costello, 52 years old) sang Wonder Woman a lively shindig exploded. Brilliantly underpinned session blowers The Crescent City Horns and instrumentalists The Imposters, with last minute changes.

The meeting continued with high (I Do not Want to Go to) Chelsea and Costello ironic after saying we were going to hear what was heard in the legendary The Cavern, his adopted city of Liverpool, went into action the natural silky voice Toussaint, A Certain Girl, before one of the titles snags night: Tears, Tears and More Tears, tears of loneliness turned into joy.

Elvis sings sharp, Allen soft conjuntadamente intertwine their voices and instruments while the wide band seems in tune oiled road after many days. The public played ding dong on Who's Gonna Help Brother , Costello desgañitó in Nearer to You and dusted Clownstrike or Freedom For The Stallion. New reference to Liverpool Echo International and other gem of the night: The River in Reverse, the title of his CD.

Particular costelliano trance Watching The Detectives and explosive Pump It Up, before a slight break. Rhythm and blues , another elvisiano lament (Alison) or a celebration of human kindness: Yes We Can Can. After the second break, new tears in Get Out My Life Woman or bittersweet farewell The Sharpest Thorn. With the "archangels Michael and Gabriel" of colleagues, Costello and his men marched looking "sins not even invented yet." You also discover the Jazz Festival in 2008.
