As the matter of nostalgia continues its march, soon there will be festivals nostalgic for nursery. This comes about because Elvis Costello came to witness much of the old new wave with their bellies, baldness and a half tear in the eye. These fans mingled with simple fans of the extensive and eclectic work of one of flos most prolific composers ever given the recent pop art. Twenty-five LPs in 20 years, all full of songs to suit all tastes and moods. Moreover, Costello and [[The Attractions]] met exactly two decades after its first performance and celebrated in style, giving an exquisite recital of perfect pieces in its conception and execution.

Elvis Costello para todos los mejores gustos

Fernando Martin

Elvis Costello & The Attractions Elvis Costello (voz y guitarra), Steve Nieve (teclados), Bruce Thornas (bajo) y Pete Thomas (batería). Johnny Walker Music Festival. Madrid, cuartel del Conde Duque. 3.000 pesetas.

I dón't want to go to Chelsea, A man called named Uncle, Watching the detectives u Oliver's Army.

Elvis Costello best for all tastes

English via Google Translate...

As the matter of nostalgia continues its march, soon there will be festivals nostalgic for nursery. This comes about because Elvis Costello came to witness much of the old new wave with their bellies, baldness and a half tear in the eye. These fans mingled with simple fans of the extensive and eclectic work of one of the most prolific composers ever given the recent pop art. Twenty-five LPs in 20 years, all full of songs to suit all tastes and moods. Moreover, Costello and The Attractions met exactly two decades after its first performance and celebrated in style, giving an exquisite recital of perfect pieces in its conception and execution.

Elvis Costello & The Attractions Elvis Costello (vocals, guitar), Steve Nieve (keyboards), Bruce Thornas (bass) and Pete Thomas (drums). Johnny Walker Music Festival. Madrid, Conde Duque barracks. 3,000 pesetas. Saturday 13 July.

He was obliged to promote the latest album, All this useless beauty, but this was downright mild thanks to the intrinsic beauty of the beautiful songs like Why can a man stand alone? or served to close the concert before the encore, Complicated shadows. But is that also Costello decided to skip the order of their own repertoire going to those corners of his discography that helped mark an era: I Do not want to go to Chelsea, A man called Uncle named, Watching the detectives or Oliver's Army. The audience appreciated, doubling the provision before surrendering to the artist and compact quartet that inevitably recalled other musical buddies have created stamp: Nick Lowe, Brinsley Schwartz, Graham Parker ...

Crooner,

Another issue is the voice of Costello. Crooner from its beginnings as an angry young man, his singing splendidly conjures emotions like no intimate nature, combined with an aftertaste of English pub atmosphere saturated rate lower middle class, smoke cigarettes banned and endless pints of beer . These images are what makes the voice of Elvis Costello something identifiable to the first and allowing him serving tray wonders sounding vowels as in Veronica, Allison or Brilliant instant. Not come as a final éste.Al singers, the audience's applause Costello forced to offer up to three encores, forcing the end time of the concert came to midnight and stretching as far as possible the best probably how many musical evenings with whiskey brand have occurred this summer in the capital.
