40 years on ....................................... ( and fifteen months after psychocaniac last posted this) I bring you the same beautifully recorded show ( with the odd exception) along with a pitch correction which was needed across the recording and of various adjustments throughout, requiring much more diligence than usual,. Hopefully I've not missed too much during this process. Also there is a period of sibilance particularly noticeable through "secondary Modern" through to "From Head To Toe". I've got this recorded in three different formats, a cassette, a CD-r taken a previous dime upload though I don't think it was the one from last year and the FLAC files from a different torrent but all had the same hiss during the "s" sounds on these tracks so I'm assuming they have all derived from the same primary source. In the end I chose to use my cassette and although I tried various dehissing and de-essing effects I felt they detracted from the overall sound too greatly so I've left them untouched apart from the pitch corrections. Elvis announces that this is the start of the World tour of Florida after they had completed their U.S. tour ( to a fairly flaccid response from the locals) before starting "Pidgin English" .The sound improves in the middle of the show and it may be adue to changes during the tape flip though nothing is lost during that time. we get an historic piece of recording though in the shape of the Pomus and Shuman classic "The World Of Broken Hearts" (spelt correctly here! ;-)) for the only known live complete recording and I was stunned at how close to the recorded version this performance by The Attractions and Elvis proves to be - they really were complete masters of the art of playing music. It's uncanny just how good Steve's keyboards are and how Bruce follows his lead to guide the song through the lines "It's a place........." Magnificent is a huge understatement for this sublime interpretation and as a one off- just incredible. We get another little "Almost Blue" medley with Patsy Cline's "(S)He'll Have To Go" inserted and then an extended finale taking the concert up to a breath-taking 38 songs. it's mostly a beautifully sounding concert and highly recommended. Lineage: Maxell XLII cassette > Nakamichi DR3 ( no dolby) > NAD 660 CDR > EAC > Nero Platinum for track separation and pitch adjustment > TLH > FLAC > you
