40 years on .................................... This isn't listed as being incomplete since the master I received from a well-known trader from West Sussex in the mid eighties is all there is as a recording but my bet is that we've lost probably the last 3 songs at the end and possibly also both "Beyond Belief" and "Clubland" after "Alison" are also absent. However, this is a rather lovely recording once I'd dealt with a very one channel bias, which I've evened out to a degree and a need for a change in pitch as well. Having said all this, the quality of this recording is really nice with lots of details including a very strange start where Elvis choses to play "New Amsterdam" for the opener and catches The Attractions unaware as you can tell from the first verse being virtually performed solo and then Bruce struggling to find his way around on bass. They get back on track with "Accidents Will Happen" and then follow a more familiar sequence of songs. The seaside crowd are obviously filled with Elvis fans judging by the cheer as they recognise the opening lines of "Shabby Doll". There is a nod towards the "Almost Blue" album with the usual coupling of "Good Year For The Roses" and "Why Don't You Love Me (Like You Used To Do)" along with any earlier performance of "Tonight The Bottle Let Me Down" with a quip about people going to the pub before the gig. The final song on this recording is "Oliver's Army" and it does cut slightly at the end which seems to indicate that there may have been a few more songs to follow.
