On this oddball selection of covers, only a few cuts (e.g., Dylan’s "I Threw It All Away") make sense for Costello’s bristly idiosyncratic vocalizing. Despite being a great songwriter, he’s never going to outsing Little Richard, as his geeky version of "Bama Lama Bama Loo" makes clear.
