Costello: Live hat Karten für Elvis Costello

Der Rocker im Visier des FBI: Zwei Leser gewinnen Tickets für das ausverkaufte Konzert auf Kampnagel.

Willi Andresen

Gut so!

Elvis Costello & The Imposters Sa 29. 1., 20.00, Kampnagel (Bus 172, 173), Jarrestraße 20-24, ausverkauft!

Live has tickets for Elvis Costello

The rocker in the sight of the FBI: Two readers win tickets to the sold out concert at Kampnagel.

English via Google Translate...

The marriage inspired him. Since his marriage to the Canadian jazz pianist Diana Krall end of 2003, the British singer and composer Elvis Costello presented so tidy, so rocky, so so creative and full of energy, like a long time. Whether the former programmer written for the wife, if he with the einspielt London Symphony Orchestra Ballet Music or whether he is "The Delivery Man" ready to rock with his backing group The Imposters on the current CD in country climes, the British Elvis impressed with an incredible musical high . And at the age of 50 years.

During his stint at Kampnagel it should rock again. The glasses guy who, according to U.S. magazine "Rolling Stone" looks like Buddy Holly after drinking a can of diesel oil, has decided with his former Attractions-mates Steve Nieve and Pete Thomas and Imposters newcomer Davey Faragher for more bumpy and less chamber music rhythms . Good thing! Back in 2002 on the CD "When I Was Cruel" was the cantankerous Brit back to the riot with claim. If Elvis Costello tunes invents, then this sound hard and grippy. It adheres more sandpaper than velvet. Current songs like "Button My Lip" and "Monkey To Man" are such stuff and bring back memories of great works from the 70s. The master himself rejects such reminiscences strictly.

Elvis has his own opinion to all things. So it is not surprising that he put up with the FBI four months ago. The U.S. Federal Bureau pasted new CDs with a sticker on which the FBI warns logo with a note from illegal copying. Costello responded to this anti-piracy campaign by letting glue their own sticker on the CD back. Text: "The artist supports this warning is not the FBI does not know his home phone number The artist hopes that the FBI does not know your phone number..."

But we need include your phone number, because LIVE has 1 × 2 tickets for sold-out Costello's Kampnagel gig. Writing by fax or e-mail 28 to 1 at Hamburg LIVE, keyword: "Costello" (Fax: 34 72 20 25, e-mail: action@abendblatt.de). In addition to the telephone number, the name and age please do not forget. Well then: good luck!

Elvis Costello & The Imposters Sat 29 1, 20.00, Kampnagel (Bus 172, 173), Jarrestraße 20-24, sold out!
