Elvis Costello
Hot Press
Elvis Costello stays true to the promise he made when he played Dublin recently, by swiftly returning for a one-off concert at Dublin's National Stadium on Saturday Nov 17th. Leaving the Attractions at home, Elvis will play solo, accompanied only by his acoustic guitar.
Special guest on the night will be T-Bone Burnett whose mini-album Trapdoor has sold very well in Ireland. November 9th sees the re-release of Trapdoor along with T-Bone's follow up, Behind The Trapdoor. The new album contains a song co-written with Bono entitled "Having A Wonderful Time, Wish You Were Her." Another interesting collaboration "Welcome Home Mr Lewis" features Richard Thompson playing on a song he co-wrote with Burnett.
Tickets for what promises to be a unique event are priced £5.50, £6.50 and £7.50.
