: 04-95-37-12-15.

Patrimonio, land of miracles, welcomes the couple Diana Krall - Elvis Costello

The "Patrimonio effect", that is, for example, the jazzy vamp Melody Gardot extending for the pleasure of his concert on July 19 in the wings (a few tents in a garden behind the scene) of Nights festival guitar with two Brazilian gifted - Hamilton de Holanda and Yamandu Costa - who made his first game. At 6 am, the organizers have kindly asked the singer to find the arms of Morpheus, because they had a new evening to prepare.

What holds the magic touch? To niellucciu and vermentinu, local grapes that make wines from this wine village at the foot of Cap Corse? Natural part of the outdoor theater where the event takes place? Surrounded by vineyards between sea, mountains and bush, the place takes shelter under the canopy of the trees and eucalyptus. Invited to the first edition of Nights of the guitar in 1990, Babik Reinhardt, Django's son, said: "If you are not inspired by a place like this, it never will."

Created by the Mayor of Patrimonio, Maestracci Guy and Jean-Bernard Gilormini dentist Nice, now only festival director Nights regularly had their moments of grace with Marcel Dadi, Larry Coryell, Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin, Jeff Beck where the ritual Night Gypsies closing each edition.

First dedicated to only have the six strings, Patrimonio is open to a multitude of genres and instrumentation, trying not to lose its soul. The program on July 20, the Canadian Diana Krall is a pianist and singer, and the British Elvis Costello, guitarist, of course, but better known as a songwriter and performer for his talents as an instrumentalist. The value displayed is as much the personalities of each couple formed at the city through this feature jazz and rock this figure.

For the first time since their marriage in 2003, they turn into family. "Touring is usually a difficult time, as we move away from each other and our boys (twins three years, Dexter and Frank)," said Costello, a few minutes before the show with his wife. "This time, we all travel together. Pleasure is all find ourselves in that family to feed concerts one and the other."

Their world may seem irreconcilable, but Krall has built his repertoire by appropriating a spectrum of songs sometimes touching to pop and rock. Former angry young man of the new wave of the late 1970s, Costello has continued over the past twenty years, to expand its claims to an impressive variety of styles, including jazz, contemporary music. In 2004, who invited one day trumpeter Chet Baker on one of its titles had also co-authored a song of his wife, The Girl in the Other Room.
