Eddie’s song
CELEBRITY fans of The Archers are dusting down their ten-gallon hats for an ol’ hoedown on the Grange Farm ranch. A Country Music album being recorded by Eddie Grundy (Trevor Harrison) has stars of the music world in a delirious spin.
The far-from-rural crooner Elvis Costello has already donated a song for Harrison to record, and negotiations with other stars are advanced. “We are talking Sir CM Richard and Billy Connolly. Our people are negotiating with their people,” says a hipster from Demon Records, which is producing the album. Both Sir Cliff and Connolly are Archers addicts. At his wedding to die actress Pamela Stephenson an the island of Fiji. Connolly sought out a native choir, which sung out the theme tune to a bagpipe accompaniment.
