Elvis to tour Australia

The Age

British singer-songwriter Elvis Costello will tour Australia in November with a series of theatre and winery shows.

Costello, who is married to fellow singer Diana Krall, is best known for his work with The Attractions, The Imposters and his recent collaboration with pianist Steve Nieve.

He has also collaborated with Burt Bacharach.

The tour will take in dates from Western Australia to Tasmania, beginning at Bimbadgen Estate in the NSW Hunter Valley on November 20.

Support acts for the tour will include Stephen Cummings, Joe Camilleri, Diesel and Mick Thomas.

Costello's hits include This Year's Model, Imperial Bedroom, King Of America, All This Useless Beauty and When I Was Cruel.

He reunited with The Imposters this year to record a new studio album, The Delivery Man, which will be released worldwide in September.

Tickets for the tour go on sale nationally on August 15.
