Momofuku

Momofuku is a 2008 album by Elvis Costello and The Imposters. It was produced by Costello and Jason Lader and "recorded and mixed at Sound City Studios, Van Nuys, CA on the 16th of January and between 7th to 14th February, 2008."
It will be released by the Lost Highway label April 22 (on double vinyl) and May 6 (on CD). The vinyl release includes a code to download MP3s of the entire album beginning May 1.
There had been no reports that Elvis was even planning a new album until a March 14 post at MusicTAP revealed the album's title and release date. Although initial reports — notably a March 20 piece on Billboard's website, which was the source for numerous other articles — indicated the album might not be available on CD at all, the May 6 CD release date was revealed by the Direct Current website the same day as Billboard's report.
