Police in Colwyn Bay yesterday praised the good behaviour of fans who attended a pop concert featuring Elvis Costello at the town's Dixieland Pier.
A police spokesman said: "Very often teenagers are blamed for this and that, so it is only right they should be complimented when they behave well. There was no trouble, we were very pleased."
More than 600 fans turned up to see Costello, who has a single "I Can't Stand Up For Falling Down," in the charts at the moment. The date was part of an extensive tour, which is taking in towns not normally visited by the top names.
