Elvis Costello opens at SPAC

The News-Herald

Elvis Costello and the Attractions open the SPAC season on Sunday, June 5, at 8:15 p.m. Crash Test Dummies appear as special guests in this show.

English singer-songwriter-guitarist Elvis Costello is touring in support of his new album Brutal Youth. The album was recorded with longtime collaborators, Pete Thomas, Steve Nieve, Bruce Thomas and Nick Lowe of the Attractions.

Brutal Youth was produced by Mitchell Froom. Costello sings and plays guitar, bass and keyboards on this album. Pete Thomas is the drummer and Steve Nieve plays keyboards. Bruce Thomas and Nick Lowe share duties on bass.

On his decision to work again with the Attractions, Costello states, "The name of the album is Brutal Youth, so I thought what was needed was a group of youthful brutes and the Attractions were the natural choice.
