The Pink Orchestra

Record Mirror

Musical Director on The Last Resort, ex-Attraction, Royal College of Music-trained Steve Nieve is one of the most versatile musicians operating in Britain.

And his latest venture, the Pink Orchestra, may yet be his most ambitious.

A modern chamber outfit, the Pink Orchestra comprise: Nieve piano and keyboards, Emily Berridge cello, David Coulter didgeridoo and ukulele, Kate St John oboe and tenor sax, Chris Musto percussion and Margot Nichols, effects and vocals.

Aiming to perform their original compositions to pictures and silent films, the Pink Orchestra's next public outing is an accompaniment to two silent film classics, The Last Laugh and Exit Smiling, at London's Scala cinema on December 18.
