Rhino proudly presents the first collection to span the entire career (so far) of modern rock's most acclaimed singer-songwriter.
Background
Elvis Costello (born Declan MacManus in Liverpool August 25, 1954) kicked off his career in 1977 with his classic debut album, My Aim Is True. As ha songwriting and artistic ambitions continued to broaden, Costello released acclaimed collections of country, sour orchestral pop, and straight-ahead rock 'n' roll — all framing his trademark lyrical wit. As a result Elvis Costello has been compared to Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen and hailed as one of the most gifted songwriters of our generation.
The Very Best Of Elvis Costello is the first collection to cover his entire career, and, quite frankly, we here at Rhino couldn't be any prouder to make this collection available in the States for the first time.
