Qui est le mystérieux bassiste d'Elvis Costello? C'est la question que se posèrent quelques soirs de suite les spectateurs anglais après l'accident survenu à <!-- Pete Thomas --> Bruce Thomas au beau milieu de l'actuelle tournée de promotion de ''This Year's Model''. S'étant ouvert la main sur une bouteille de bière brisée, Thomas a en effet dû abandonner son emploi à toutes les mains charitables... Le soir de l'accident, c'est Elvis lui-même qui en a joué.
