Elvis Costello was actually affable at San Francisco's Warfield Theatre, the third stop on his current U.S. tour. He said, "It's nice to be back." He performed songs from all his albums. He said, "'Thank you." Quite a change from his last visit, in 1978, when his restricted repertoire and refusal to do encores inspired fans to set fire to his concert posters.
