Elvis tour due

Random Notes

Plans for an Elvis Costello tour in the near future are in the works. "We've got to wait until John McFee is free from the Doobie Brothers, says El's manager, Jake Riviera. "We won't go out unless we have him." McFee, who contributes the pedal-steel parts on Costello's just released Almost Blue LP, hopes to be free by the middle of November. Don't look for Elvis to play his newest instrument, the trumpet, on tour, though. "He bought one in a pawn shop while we were on tour and drove us all nuts," Riviera groans.
