So the Hawk’s are No. 1, the hostages are free , the Eagles made it to the Super Bowl, and the prime rate is down.  BIIIIIIIIIIIG DEAL!!  Elvis Costello has a new album out.
“TRUST” it’s called, and trust us, (after all, we are us) it’s a doozy.  This bag of goodies contains fourteen tracks on black colored vinyl.  With so many tracks, even if you don’t like a few, you can still love the album.
Every reviewer and his Uncle George reviews an album song by song, right? Don’t make us laugh.  We’ll point out a few of the high and low lights and get on with it.
Highlights: “Pretty Words,” “Strict Time”, “Fish ‘n Chip Paper”, “Luxembourg”, and “Big Sister’s Clothes.” These songs make you think even if you haven’t caught all the words yet.  Soon to be classic lines include:
“The cost of living in sin would make a poor man out of Paul Getty,” and “It’s easier to say I love you than yours sincerely, I suppose.”
So do we  Elvoid.  You know there has to be meaning there.
Lowlights: “Shot With His Own Gun,” and “different Finger.” They just aren’t memorable.  The rest are, at worst, above average.
No on in the biz (as we say in the biz) writes songs with as much to them as Costello.  He doesn’t just use cute phrases, he writes complete ideas into songs without being boring, and without a new. (Annette?)
Ronnie Reagan say: “Ethe C OK with me.” What more could we young republicans ask for? huh? I ask you.
We play this thing all night long as the Timmy and the Colonel Institute for the Imaginatively Deficient. (Write to HAWK ED.  FOR MORE INFO, BROTHER).  As a matter of fact, you might say that (T)RUST  never sleeps.  See ya later kids, and until next time, keep your feet in the stars and keep reaching for the ground.

Elvis Costello returns in Trust

Timmy and the Colonel

So the Hawk’s are No. 1, the hostages are free , the Eagles made it to the Super Bowl, and the prime rate is down. BIIIIIIIIIIIG DEAL!! Elvis Costello has a new album out.

TRUST” it’s called, and trust us, (after all, we are us) it’s a doozy.
