Secret, Profane & Sugarcane is an upcoming album by Elvis Costello. It was produced by T Bone Burnett and recorded by Mike Piersante during a three-day session (March 31 to April 2, 2008) at Nashville's Sound Emporium Studio. Joining Costello were Jerry Douglas (dobro), Stuart Duncan (fiddle), Mike Compton (mandolin), Jeff Taylor (accordion), Dennis Crouch (double bass), and Jim Lauderdale (vocal harmonies). Emmylou Harris guests on The Crooked Line.
It is scheduled for release June 2, 2009 on the Hear Music label.
