Costello free album offer

Sounds

ELVIS COSTELLO, whose new album “My Aim Is True” is released this week, has a single “Red Shoes” released on Friday.

The records mark a new deal between Stiff Records and Island Records for pressing and distribution. This means the Stiff catalogue – ‘Damned Damned Damned’ ‘Bunch Of Stiffs’ and Nick Lowe’s ‘Bowi EP’ – is available immediately. Stiff singles up to the Adverts’ “One Chord Wonder” have been deleted.

The first 1,000 copies of ‘My Aim Is True’ contain a ‘Help Us Hype Elvis’ leaflet. Firstcomers will thus be able to send a FREE album to the person of their choice for just the cost of postage.

Costello also goes on the road this week to promote the album with a new band, The Attractions – Peter Thomas (drums) ex-Chiili Willi And The Red Hot Peppers, Bruce Thomas (bass) ex-Quiver and Steve Mason (keyboards).
