Rock week

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Boston and Sammy Hagar co-star in this week's biggest rock concert when they appear at the Checkerdome Friday. Boston, whose first recording gave the band star category, has had its second release, Don't Look Back, on the charts for six months. Hagar's current album is one that was recorded live.

Tomorrow Gil Scott-Heron, a jazz-rock artist, who first made his name as a novelist and poet, will appear at Mississippi Nights.

Tuesday Elvis Costello and the Rubinoos are scheduled to appear at Kiel Opera House in a bargain concert sponsored by radio station KSHE. Costello has an album, Armed Forces, that is in the Top 15 on the charts.

Wednesday the pop-folk team of Brewer & Shipley will be in concert at Mississippi Nights.

Saturday the Outlaws and the Godz share the program at Kiel Opera House. The Outlaws current album, Playing to Win, has been on the charts for more than three months. The Godz' current album, Nothing Is Sacred, just made it late last month.

Next Sunday (March 11) Nazareth and Thin Lizzy are scheduled to appear at Kiel Auditorium. Nazareth is doing well with No Mean City.
