| I know. It is pure idiocy. But until last night I imagined that I could listen to Costello's voice for life. It would always be moments where it hit me as strongly as ever before in all his countless Stockholm gigs the last twenty years. Yesterday they took over. Sudden it was over. "Almost Blue" flew by like a wilted coltsfoot, jealous drama "I want you" hit me with the force of a stifled yawn. So thank you for this time, Declan. Never have I had so outstanding bored in the company of an artist I've followed so intensely for so long. The burning disinterest was obviously mutual. In a stall in the foyer was sharp sticks — created in collaboration with Aimee Mann — to awaken bench neighbors who have fallen into a coma. It's basically exactly the same notion Costello has traveled around with the different configurations for almost ten years, but most of it looked like just yesterday — with Costello as a visually impaired Jump the Gun and Steve Nieve in a perfect junction of Professor Balthazar and Robert Wells on the piano. For every day that passes, I realize more and more how much I hate the ''North'', the latest in a line of Costello's increasingly self-righteous brothers Coen-like concept album. Some discs have to learn to detest. ''North'' is one such. It is believed at first that it will "grow". Nothing could be more inaccurate forecasts. It just keeps getting stiffer and sadder as each day goes by, so much that it has caused me to hate one orientation. Which in itself is impressive. Otherwise, everything as usual. He makes his funny monologue in "Gods comic" and I remember that I forgot banda "White House". He weaves routine as usual in some Smokey Robinson and Ray Charles where it fits and I wonder if we have milk at home or do I really go past 7-11? He makes a "Shipbuilding" so perfunctory that the Falklands War starts out as a pretty good idea. Maybe I should texting Lisa and check it out there with the milk? "Id rather be anywhere else but here today", as the self-appointed otidsenlige man himself put it.
