Weird. I ran it again and it is down to one file:
* 1977-10-29_New_Musical_Express_cover.jpg
I went directly to this URL (https://elviscostello.info//wiki/index.php?title=File:1977-10-29_New_Musical_Express_cover.jpg) and it says the file is missing and unreferenced. I suspect the page can just be deleted. What do you think?

Revision as of 18:15, 10 August 2023

This page is to track issues encountered that appear to be a side-effect of the Mediawiki software update in July 2023.

Missing Images

Images which were bulk imported from JohnE's pre-wiki still have pages and descriptions. The images are in the images/ directory as expected but do not display. Some inpacted pages are:

All missing images have been reuploaded:

with::band::Artist Not Processed Correctly

The site uses "double ::" notation which is not processed correctly.

We have no explanation.

The fix appears to be dropping one of the properties. But do we want "with::Artist" or "band::Artist"?

checkImages.php Results

I ran checkImages.php maintenance script and it reported

  • 1977-10-29_New_Musical_Express_cover.jpg: missing

This does seem to be the case but the images/ directory has these. Could one of them be the missing image and this be a bad reference?

  • ./0/03/1977-10-29_New_Musical_Express_photo_01.jpg
  • ./3/31/1977-10-29_New_Musical_Express_page_11_clipping.jpg
  • ./3/33/1977-10-29_New_Musical_Express_page_29_clipping.jpg
  • ./6/66/1977-10-29_New_Musical_Express_page_09.jpg
  • ./8/8d/1977-10-29_New_Musical_Express_page_28_advertisement.jpg
  • ./9/9f/1977-10-29_New_Musical_Express_page_27_clipping.jpg
  • ./d/db/1977-10-29_New_Musical_Express_cover_1.jpg
  • ./e/e0/1977-10-29_New_Musical_Express_page_28.jpg

The page looks fine to me; no missing images:

Edits Causing Jobs Backlog

There appears to be an update job which needs to run after the semantic content is updated. This can take a while to clear out.

TBD: Add screenshot.

The "fix" is to be patient. There is a way to manually force the jobs to run as part of mediawiki maintenance.

In Progress.jpg - Currently being worked on by nunki.

Semantic Further Results Not Displaying Correctly

The semantic ask pages that display more than the "limit" parameter, then shows a "...further results" link at the bottom of the page. Clicking this link displays a page that is not shown correctly. It appears that the date is missing.

Pages using duplicate arguments in template calls

Nine song pages, with nothing else apparently in common are now showing in a new category: Pages using duplicate arguments in template calls.
The nine songs include April 5th, Cecilia and Purple Rain. This issue also seems to affect some pages that include those nine songs - for example: 2½_Years.
